• Detailed Description: Experience Corps Marin is a national non-profit with a strong local presence in San Rafael and Novato School Districts. An award-winning tutoring and mentoring program, EC Marin is currently seeking volunteers ages 50 and older to become literacy tutors and mentors in kindergarten through third grade classrooms.The unique experience and talent of older adults is the foundation of Experience Corps, so no prior tutoring experience is necessary, and on-going training is provided. Must possess a high school diploma or GED, and be willing to pass a criminal background check.

• Time Required: Volunteers are asked to commit for the rest of the school year for a minimum of 4 hours/week
